I am currently an Intern at Unique Health Care for Women, my mentor is Dr. Latisa Carson. She has taking me were many unlicensed people do not get to travel. I have been in Operating rooms and patient consultations. This was the start of my journey when I arrived I was greeted with a white student jacket. Student jackets are a lot shorter then the doctors.

Something I was hoping I would get to do would have to be watching surgeries. When Dr. Carson told me that I would actually get to witness some I was ecstatic. I knew I could watch surgeries on TV Without being squeamish, but I needed to know if I could stand it in real life. I have watched about five surgeries so far and i'm extremely proud of myself I wasn’t sick or light headed. Paradise valley hospital is the most reticent hospital I have watched a surgery. This is what we usually look like when we are ready to enter the OR. This picture also inspires me to become a doctor. I am absolutely positive that this is what I want to make my profession.

This is some of the things you are required to wear in the operation room. This is protocol because you must insure everything in the room is sterile, If not you can expose clients to bacteria. The face mask is the most important because you can't expose anyone to your germs. If you sneeze in it the face mask will catch the germs. The foot covers and hair cover makes it so you can't bring anything from outside in the OR.

There are certain scrubs you have to wear in the OR. I also had to wear shoe covers and hair covers to insure no germs were in the room. If you have ever heard the surgical term don’t touch the “Blue”. It means that everything in blue is sterile and if touched will be contaminated.

I am very thankful that I am able to shadow a doctor. I would have never thought to do an internship it weren't for High Tech. I am absolutely sure this is the field that i want to be in. I didn't think I was going to be able to see half the things I already have. This is defiantly for me, and I'm glad I got the chance to experience this.

A challenge that I have faced with my peoject is not having one. I am not able to do anything at the office because there is a lot of legal things that are at risk. I am mentoring with a Doctor and I am only allowed to observe so its been difficult for me to propose a project.

I see myself working as an OBGYN. Working with my mentor has actually confirmed that this is what I want to do. I am so excited to go to college and learn about the things I'm learning now. I feel that I'm going to be a successful Doctor. I just love the power they have and the way people look up to them makes me so motivated.

Artist statement: I first got this image if a dia de los muertos skull and drew the outline of it just to have a nice foundation to start with. Then Colored the skull how ever I wanted I also Incorporated the colors of the cempasuchil. To get the kind of streak look I used the tutorial Engraving techniques using photoshop.

hatching stippling

Artist statement: This stippling/hatching project was fun and exiting. It was definitely not the easiest thing but I had fun doing it because it was something very knew to me. This is something I would definitely like to do again. Stippling is a technique using Various amounts of dots in a pattern or randomly. Hatching is another technique using lines in a random fashion. I chose these people as my hero and villain because Alice in wonderland is one of my favorite movies it was so color full and 3D. I thought it would be a good choice since they came from something I enjoyed.

What is something that struck you about the video of Evelyn Glennie?

This struck me because she was so good at teaching us how to listen and play instruments. That it was so hard to believe that she couldn't hear at all. It was amazing to me that she could teach some one how to listen without being able to listen herself.

What did you notice?

I noticed how smooth her hands moved when she played the Marimba and how cool and mellow it sound and made me feel.

What did you enjoy about her performance?

Something I enjoyed about her performance was when she played the Marimba on the top row because it made me think of the movie Mulan.

What is something you will remember about the performance?

Something i will remember about the performance was how she tought how to play the drum only because my little brother loves the drums and i have to listen to them all day and night so that's something that really stood out

3 weeks ago but the company has been going on for two years.

Yes yes I do.
Why?
Because fresh is better and no chemicals.

Something that really struck me about the Point Loma farmers market was that they sold more then just food. I have never been to a farmers market and I thought it was just locally grown thing from locally farmer bt they had nice cute Little sun dresses,big beautiful hats,and Tupperware ext.There was allot of things to choose from even food from different countries it was amazing I had a sample of almost everything there:-). My mother bought me food from Africa and bought herself a big pear that looked really good and juicy. Something I thought that was very expensive was the eggs 12 eggs for 8 bucks when u can go to the store and get 24 for the same price.I differently would love to come to farmers markets more often ,and I'm happy we had this project to open my eyes a Little bit about the things I eat and be more aware that I have more options open to me.

Farmer

Today I talked about food with my grandma we had a really good conversation about if buying organic food was better then buying food from a farmers market that uses pesticides. I said that i would rather buy food from a farmers market that uses pesticides then organic grown all the way around the country See thought differently just because it was ORGANIC. Allot of people buy organic food but don't realize were they are coming from and all the other pollution it does use to get to your house so i think its better to eat local any day.I can apply this to the real world because i think people should be aware of the things other people do to thier food and how we should change our eating habbits.
I strongly agree to the concepts because they have evadence backing up what they say and not just pulling stuff out of the hat. The people that declinde intervives make me think how that makes them look bad like they have somthing to hide about there company.

It was only after several months that I began to notice that her exitment was fading and continued to fade month after month and year after year.

I felt the same when I was young I was so exited to go to school and i begged my mom to let me go because it seemed like a cool place to go with new toys and shiny stuff that I wanted so bad, but my mom always saying I was to young but finally when that day came.School School School that all I could do and I liked it for the first year or two but then I couldn't stand the place and wished for a day were we had no school. I was crushed when my mom told me I had 10 more years of going to school. But when I realized it I would have no friends if I didn't go to school because there would be absolutely nothing to do with our life and we would all be stupid because EDUCATION is key!

The topic i will be focusing on is technology mainly on cellphones and how they affect the world today lets start with TEXTING .I feel this years generation will have the hardest time spelling only because we spend so much time using text language every day we tent to write this way on homework and important documents.

The blue prints- Jadon and I made the blue prints which consisted of how we made our boat and how big it was

Description- Jadon, Mitch, Briana and I all worked really hard on our boat for the Kushiets which we thought would have helped them allot more with trading. MAking the boat we had to consider arcamedias principle to make sure that it would float propley with out sinking because of course we had the biggest boat out of every one

Process- The process of making our boat was to make sure we had all the right measurements to make our boat the same size meaning we needed to use a ruler and power tools. the power tool part was really fun to me because it was the first time ive ever done somthing like that.we hade to caulk all the whole so the water wouldnt get into the boat and sink.
