As I was sitting in my rocking chair letting every thing soak in from what August had just got finished saying to me. I wonderd if I should really go back and leave all the troubles behind every one else, What if T-Ray comes looking for me and the cops think these nice black women kidnaped me just because im a white girl. That night I wrote a note about how i lied about my father and set in on the dinner tabel. As iI walked out the door with the littel stuff i did have August was standing there as if to already Know this would happen.

ReplyDeleteI liked the way you described how the police would accuse the nice calender sisters of kidnapping Lily just because she was white. It gave me a clear image in my head.
